Responsibilities
· Lead and oversee the day-to-day nursing operations to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality and patient-centered care.
· Ensure nursing practices comply with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) requirements, applicable regulatory requirements, company policies and clinical SOPs.
· Plan and manage nursing manpower duty rosters and staff development to ensure appropriate coverage and skill mix based on operational requirements,
· Provide clinical leadership, supervision and guidance to nursing and support staff.
· Oversee the orientation, training and competency assessment of nursing staff and identify developmental needs.
· Coach, counsel and manage the performance and conduct of nursing staff, in collaboration with HR and Management where appropriate.
· Develop, review and implement nursing policies, SOPs, clinical workflows and nursing standards.
· Monitor clinical quality and patient safety through audits, incident reviews and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
· Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control requirements and maintain a safe clinical environment.
· Ensure accurate and timely nursing documentation and proper maintenance of patient care records.
· Oversee the readiness, proper use and maintenance of clinical equipment, emergency equipment and nursing supplies.
· Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate availability of medical and nursing supplies while managing resources efficiently.
· Work closely with doctors, clinical teams and other departments to ensure smooth patient flow and coordination of care.
· Participate in budgeting, resource planning and cost control initiatives relating to nursing operations.
· Handle patient feedback and service-related matters appropriately and escalate significant clinical or operational issues to Management.
· Support regulatory inspections, clinical audits and other quality or accreditation activities.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance nursing standards, patient safety and operational efficiency.
· Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Requirements
· Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution
· Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) with a valid Practising Certificate.
· Minimum5 years’ of relevant nursing experience with demonstrated supervisory or nursing leadership experience.
· Experience in a day-surgery, operating theatre and/or mutli-specialty surgical setting would be highly advantageous.
· Strong knowledge of clinical governance, infection control, patient safety, nursing SOPs and regulatory requirements.
· Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to coach and develop nursing staff.
· Good interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
· Able to work independently and manage clinical and operational issues effectively.
· Able to work a 5.5-day work week
