IONM Clinical Support

Job Description

1. Provide intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) support during surgical procedures.
2. Set up and operate IONM equipment including SSEP, MEP, EMG, and other relevant modalities.
3. Perform patient preparation, electrode placement, baseline acquisition, and intraoperative monitoring.
4. Monitor neurophysiological signals continuously and identify significant changes during surgery.
5. Communicate important signal changes promptly to the surgeon, anaesthetist, and relevant clinical team.
6. Prepare pre-operative and post-operative monitoring reports.
7. Follow hospital, company, and clinical safety procedures.
8. Support multiple hospitals and surgical teams when required.

Requirements

1. Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, Neurophysiology, Medical Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related fields.
2. Previous IONM experience is preferably more than 1 year.
3. Experience with SSEP, MEP and EMG.
4. Willing to work in operating theatres and support emergency/on-call cases.
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Able to work independently under pressure.
