About the role
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Project Manager to support the Project Director in overseeing the planning, coordination, execution, and completion of construction projects.
Key responsibilities
Assist the Project Director in the overall planning and management of construction projects.
Take charge of day-to-day project execution and site operations.
Lead and coordinate Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, Supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
Monitor project schedules, progress, manpower, materials, procurement, submissions, and key milestones.
Ensure projects are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
Identify project risks, delays, technical issues, and resource constraints, and implement timely solutions.
Prepare, review, and update project schedules, work programmes, progress reports, manpower plans, and project documentation.
Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure works are completed according to schedule and required standards.
Work closely with the Quantity Surveying team on variations, claims, procurement, cost control, and commercial matters.
About you
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably with a main contractor.
Prior experience managing construction projects or major work scopes independently is preferred.
Strong understanding of construction processes, site operations, project planning, technical coordination, and project documentation.
Able to lead and coordinate project teams, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Strong planning, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently, make timely decisions, and take ownership of project deliverables.
Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
Familiar with Singapore construction practices, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant project management or construction software.
