Contract, 1 year
Monthly Salary: $3,880 – $4,816
Working Hours:
- Mondays to Thursdays: 8.30 am to 6.00 pm
- Fridays: 8.30 am to 5.30 pm
- Saturdays: Day Off
- Lunch: 1 hour
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Victim Care Cadre Programme (VCCP) Manager will be part of the Crime Psychology Division in the Police Psychological Services Department (PPSD), Singapore Police Force (SPF). The VCCP Manager is primarily tasked to develop and implement the CARE framework to support Victim Care Officers (members of public volunteers within VCCP) as they serve alongside SPF in working with victims of crime. The VCCP manager would secondarily oversee and manage the victim care services activation, train and select suitable candidates to be part of the VCCP, organise events and activities for the VCCP members, and conduct reviews and enhancement of the VCCP periodically. The VCCP Manager will also be supporting in force-wide victim care related efforts and involved in other core PPSD functions.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop and implement the CARE framework for VCOs
2. Facilitates the VCO activation process
3. Manages the VCO recruitment process
4. Conducts VCO panel interviews
5. Conducts onboarding of new VCOs
6. Organises cohesion and appreciation events for VCOs
7. Develops and refines volunteer management framework
8. Involves in psychological first aid efforts
9. Facilitates morale management efforts
10. Conducts review and enhancement of VCCP initiatives
11. Works with unit management to provide professional consultation
12. Supports in force-wide victim care related efforts and other core PPSD functions
COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Relevant degree in Psychology or a related discipline.
- Experience in psychology, counselling, social work or related behavioural sciences would be advantageous.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Experience in volunteer management, programme management, recruitment, training or community engagement would be advantageous.
- Experience in supporting individuals who may require emotional or psychological support would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of psychological first aid or relevant victim care practices would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with the Home Team context would be advantageous.
- Experience in victim care, including experience as a Victim Care Officer (VCO) with the VCCP, would be advantageous.
