Resident Architect
About this job
We are looking for an experienced and registered Resident Architect who will be responsible for leading and supervising all architectural works of an LTA project on site. In this role, you will ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contractual and LTA requirements throughout the construction and handover phases until CWW is obtained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of all architectural works on site to ensure architectural quality and compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, LTA requirements and contractual requirements.
- Drive the architectural workstream from design to construction and handover.
- Coordinate closely with the LTA Architectural Team, Architectural Consultant, Contractors, RTOs and other disciplines such as Mechanical & Electrical, Civil, Structural, railway systems and specialist works to resolve architectural interfaces and lead technical project direction.
- Provide architectural direction through review of architectural drawings, shop drawings, material submissions, samples, mock-ups and method statements.
- Monitor architectural progress, workmanship and quality, and proactively identify and resolve site issues and design discrepancies.
- Manage the resolution of technical issues including RFIs, technical queries, site instructions, non-conformances, defects and rectification works.
- Lead the architectural close-out process by overseeing works through completion, testing, defects rectification and handover.
- Ensure proper records and documentation are maintained for architectural inspections, submissions, approvals, defects and handover.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Architecture or relevant field from a recognised institution.
- Minimum 8 years of architectural experience and have worked 5 years of MRT/LTA projects in construction supervision.
- Registered Architect with Board of Architects Singapore / professional Boards.
- Strong knowledge of architectural construction, detailing, materials, finishes and site coordination.
- Familiar with LTA requirements, specifications, construction procedures and documentation.
- Good coordination and communication skills with Consultants, Contractors and LTA project teams.
- Willing to work 5.5 or alternate 6 days, 8-6pm.
