DATA SCIENTIST

Job Description

1. Responsible for developing data visualizations and dashboards for Xiaomi International Internet Business to provide visibility into performance trends across key markets.
2. Automate data quality monitoring and alerting processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy across data pipelines and reporting processes.
3. Support data processing pipelines and data scheduling jobs to ensure timely and reliable data availability for business analysis and reporting.
4. Analyse business data to identify performance trends, anomalies, and business issues, and provide data-driven recommendations to support business improvement.
5. Write and maintain SQL queries and Python scripts to extract, clean, transform, and analyse large datasets.
6. Build and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Quick BI, Power BI) to support day-to-day business decision-making.
7. Conduct ad-hoc data analysis to address business questions and communicate analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, operations, and engineering teams, to define business metrics and support data-driven initiatives.

Job Requirements & Required Skills

1. Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Data Science, or other related quantitative and technical disciplines.
2. Experience in maintaining data processing pipelines and working with large and complex datasets.
3. Good knowledge of SQL, Python, MS Excel, or other data analysis tools.
4. Experience with BI / data visualization tools, such as Quick BI, Power BI, and knowledge of data visualization practices.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify business issues and derive actionable insights from data.
6. Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders across different markets and communicate data insights effectively.
