Technical Sales Manager (Marine)

The position reports to the Regional Director, Marine Sales APAC and requires approximately 25% regional travel.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop project-sales opportunities across Singapore and selected APAC markets through proactive customer engagement and market development.

2. Build strong relationships with shipowners, shipyards, offshore operators, EPC contractors, consultants, distributors and other relevant industry stakeholders.

3. Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities and manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and needs assessment through quotation, negotiation and contract award.

4. Promote marine handling solutions as the primary focus, while supporting sales of other PALFINGER MARINE products where relevant.

5. Understand customers’ technical, operational and commercial requirements and recommend suitable solutions in collaboration with engineering and product specialists.

6. Prepare and manage accurate, competitive and compliant technical and commercial quotations, proposals and tender submissions in accordance with company processes.

7. Lead customer discussions, technical clarifications and commercial negotiations within approved authority levels, escalating material risks and non-standard terms where required.

8. Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, opportunity updates and account plans, providing timely visibility of customer activity, commercial risks and market developments.

9. Gather and share market intelligence on competitors, customer needs, industry trends and emerging opportunities to support regional sales and market-development strategies.

10. Coordinate the formal handover of awarded contracts to Project Management, ensuring that agreed scope, commercial conditions, customer commitments, risks and supporting documentation are clearly communicated.
