Assistant Program Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of program management from initiation, development of project management plan to final delivery and ensure the delivery of products to specification and on time.
• Responsible for coordinating multiple product development activities between product development, engineering, marketing, customers, outsource vendors and relevant departments within the company to ensure full integration into volume manufacturing.
• Represent the company and coordinate specific deliverables with specific customers. Responsible for maintaining customer relationships with clear expectations.
• Plan program activities, manage program prioritization and develop master timing schedules and revenue and resource/expense tracking that meets program objectives. Maintain and communicate project status internally, to outsource vendor and customers on a regular basis.
• Work with Product Engineering and NPD team (for multiple projects) to establish plans and goals for each project. Set objectives, assign tasks, allocate budgets and agree to timetables for achieving intermediate and overall goals. Review dates to ensure that projects remain on target. establish a formal reporting and review structure to obtain the needed information to coordinate and monitor progress across all projects.
• Planning and designing the program and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective actions.
• Ensuring the delivery of new products or services from projects to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the program plan
• Initiating extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the program are identified or issues arise
• Assists cross-functional team in all technical and business aspects of a project.
• Review projects regularly to increase manufacturability and efficiency. Identify and evaluate the risks associated with program activities and take appropriate action to control the risks
