Cleaning Supervisor

Job Overview

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations and supervise cleaning staff at assigned premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and service quality while managing manpower, work schedules, cleaning supplies, and daily operations.

The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership and organisational skills, be able to communicate effectively with staff and clients, and have a hands-on approach to resolving operational issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of cleaning staff at assigned premises.

  • Plan and allocate cleaning duties, work schedules, and manpower according to operational requirements.

  • Ensure cleaning work is completed according to company standards, client requirements, and established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and service quality are maintained.

  • Train, guide, and coach cleaning staff on proper cleaning methods, equipment usage, and workplace safety procedures.

  • Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, performance, and productivity.

  • Ensure cleaning equipment, tools, chemicals, and supplies are used correctly and safely.

  • Monitor inventory levels and arrange for replenishment of cleaning supplies when required.

  • Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues, safety hazards, and other operational concerns to management.

  • Address customer or client feedback and implement appropriate corrective actions.

  • Maintain proper records of cleaning schedules, inspections, attendance, supplies, and other operational activities.

  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety, environmental, and relevant cleaning industry requirements.

  • Assist in manpower deployment and replacement arrangements in the event of staff absence.

  • Coordinate with clients, building management, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery.

  • Assist management in improving cleaning processes, productivity, and service quality.

  • Perform hands-on cleaning duties when required to support operations.

  • Carry out any other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum GCE 'N' Level, GCE 'O' Level, NITEC, Higher NITEC, or equivalent qualification.

  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in the cleaning or facilities management industry.

  • Previous experience supervising cleaning staff will be an advantage.

  • Good knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, chemicals, and workplace safety practices.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Able to organise manpower and manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Responsible, disciplined, and proactive in resolving operational issues.

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on operational environment.

  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.

Working Hours
