Research Manager

Smartkarma is looking for a Research Manager to join our Research team in Singapore.

Your key focus will be to grow Smartkarma’s Bespoke Services business, from supporting business development activity and developing client proposals, to managing the delivery of projects through to completion. Smartkarma’s Bespoke Services clients include asset managers (hedge funds, private equity, venture capital), exchanges and corporates.

You will also support other Research team activities, from onboarding Insight Providers and managing their performance, to identifying research gaps on the platform.

You will report directly to the Head of Research and work closely with members of the Research team.

The role will include, but not be limited to:

1. Growing Smartkarma’s Bespoke Services business, and developing strawmans and proposals for your prospects

2. Building a strong understanding of Smartkarma’s Bespoke Services to consultatively develop solutions for prospects

3. Overseeing project timelines and the quality of deliverables

4. Owning client and service provider relationships (where needed) from project kickoff through completion

• At least 3 years of experience in a research services role

• Proven ability in handling concurrent projects with attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent written, oral and electronic communication skills

• Excellent analytical skills and a high degree of business acumen

• You love analyzing data and/or financials, and applying your findings/hypotheses to business decisions
