Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a hands-on Facilities Technician to support the maintenance and smooth operation of F&B and entertainment outlets at Far East Square.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preventive maintenance, first-line troubleshooting and general facilities repairs.

  • Conduct daily inspections and preventive maintenance of facilities and equipment, including lighting, air-conditioning, refrigeration/freezers, water systems, exhaust systems and commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Perform first-line troubleshooting and minor maintenance works.
  • Identify equipment faults, water leaks, abnormal electrical conditions, wear and tear, and potential safety issues.
  • Respond promptly to power trips, water leaks, equipment breakdowns, lighting failures and air-conditioning faults.
  • Carry out minor general repairs that do not require specialised licences, including replacement of light bulbs, basic plumbing works, fixtures and fittings.
  • Conduct visual and operational checks of electrical equipment and installations.
  • Escalate regulated electrical, plumbing or other specialised works to appropriately licensed personnel or contractors.
  • Coordinate and follow up with external contractors, Licensed Electrical Workers (LEWs), plumbers, air-conditioning technicians and other specialist service providers.
  • Support renovation, upgrading and installation of new equipment.
  • Maintain proper records of inspections, maintenance, repairs and safety checks.
  • Monitor spare parts and maintenance supplies.
  • Provide facilities support across the company's outlets within Far East Square when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant facilities, building maintenance, F&B, hotel or related maintenance experience.
  • General knowledge of basic electrical troubleshooting, plumbing, air-conditioning, refrigeration and commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Able to perform first-line troubleshooting and minor repairs independently.
  • Able to identify when faults need to be escalated to licensed or specialised contractors.
  • Proficient in using common maintenance tools.
  • Good safety awareness and able to work in a fast-paced F&B and entertainment environment.
  • Able to work PM shifts and respond to urgent maintenance issues when required.
  • Basic troubleshooting knowledge of POS/ordering systems, routers and other common outlet equipment will be advantageous.
  • Relevant technical or trade qualifications/certifications will be advantageous.
  • Experience maintaining professional lighting and sound equipment will be advantageous.

Working Arrangement & Benefits

6-day work week
10-hour PM shift, inclusive of 1-hour break
Rest day: As per roster
