Overall Role Purpose
Lead and grow the company’sMPP chartering business in Singapore. Responsible for MPP, heavy-lift, projectcargo, and wind turbine project chartering, from business development andbidding to execution and profitability. Maximize vessel utilization, develop cargoresources, and ensure smooth project operation with strong commercial results.
KeyResponsibilities
- Lead end-to-end MPP chartering and project execution, including bidding, negotiation, operations, customer communication, and subcontractor management.
- Seek suitable chartering solutions for wind turbine projects and other project cargoes, including MPP and heavy-lift shipments.
- Develop cargo resources for operating vessels and combine them with wind cargo to maximize vessel utilization.
- Develop project chartering business aligned with company strategy and identify new opportunities.
- Plan and optimize voyage legs, including return strategies, to maximize profitability.
- Negotiate charter party terms and manage contract execution.
- Maintain and develop relationships with regional/local OEM suppliers, customers, brokers, and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with global operations, port captains, and dry bulk chartering teams to share vessel intelligence and align fleet strategy.
- Monitor market trends, freight rates, and competitor activity; report regularly to management.
- Lead, guide, and mentor the chartering team as required.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.
KeyRequirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above; fluent in English.
- At least 10+ years of relevant shipping/chartering experience; MPP or project chartering experience required, dry bulk background preferred.
- Proficient in MPP operation processes and project cargo transport, especially heavy-lift cargoes.
- Good knowledge of IP/Wind projects, industrial project logistics, and international transportation.
- Strong project process and bidding skills.
- Proven negotiation, relationship-building, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Strong responsibility, commercial acumen, and ability to work under pressure.
- Existing network in Singapore/APAC is a plus.
