Stalford Education Group is a private education institution in Singapore offering internationally recognised academic programmes. The Academy is preparing to launch a BSc Business Management programme within the year and is seeking experienced Lead Lecturers / Senior Lecturers to support the delivery and academic management of the programme.

Role Overview

The Lead Lecturer / Senior Lecturer will be responsible for delivering modules within the BSc Business Management programme, supporting curriculum delivery, and maintaining high academic standards aligned with international university requirements.

The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, student engagement, academic quality assurance, and programme development.

The programme includes modules in areas such as:

  • Quantitative methods for sustainable organisations

  • Management, markets and consumption

  • Information systems and organisational studies

  • International business and accounting

  • Human resource management and employability

  • Strategic management and accounting

  • Operations management and marketing strategy

  • Global economy and multinational enterprise

  • Leadership, innovation and organisational performance

These modules form part of the programme’s staged curriculum across multiple academic years.

Teaching typically follows a structured weekly schedule including lectures, tutorials, and guided self-study periods.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Academic Delivery

  • Deliver lectures, tutorials, and seminars for modules within the BSc Business Management programme.

  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with the institution's curriculum.

  • Facilitate classroom learning and encourage critical thinking and application of business concepts.

  • Provide academic guidance and feedback to students.

Programme Leadership (Lead Lecturer role)

  • Coordinate delivery of assigned modules across teaching teams.

  • Ensure teaching quality and consistency with international university academic standards.

  • Mentor junior lecturers and adjunct faculty where applicable.

Student Support

  • Monitor student progress and provide academic advising.

  • Support students in coursework preparation and examination readiness.

  • Conduct consultations and additional academic support sessions where required.

Academic Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with programme regulations and quality assurance requirements.

  • Participate in programme reviews, moderation processes, and academic meetings.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of teaching and learning.

Institutional Contribution

  • Support programme development initiatives.

  • Participate in academic committees and school activities.

  • Engage with industry developments to maintain curriculum relevance.

Requirements

Minimum Academic Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business, Management, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline from a recognised university.

  • Doctoral degree (PhD/DBA) preferred for Lead Lecturer appointments.

Teaching Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of tertiary-level teaching experience in business or management subjects.

  • Experience teaching international degree programmes or transnational education programmes is an advantage.

Subject Expertise

Candidates should demonstrate expertise in at least one of the following areas:

  • Strategic Management

  • Marketing and Consumer Behaviour

  • International Business

  • Human Resource Management

  • Operations Management

  • Business Analytics / Quantitative Methods

  • Information Systems in Organisations

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong teaching and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to engage students in an international academic environment.

  • Ability to contribute to academic quality assurance and programme administration.

Regulatory / Institutional Expectations

Candidates should meet requirements typically expected of academic staff in Singapore private education institutions, including:

  • Relevant academic qualifications aligned with the subjects taught.

  • Demonstrated teaching experience in higher education.

  • Ability to meet academic quality standards for international degree programmes.
