Community Outreach Representative

Job Summary
The Community Outreach Representative is responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships between the organization and the community. The role involves engaging community members, promoting programs and services, organizing outreach activities, and representing the organization at community events.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with community members, organizations, schools, businesses, and local stakeholders.
• Conduct outreach activities to increase awareness of the organization’s programs and services.
• Represent the organization at community events, meetings, workshops, and public activities.
• Organize and coordinate community engagement events and initiatives.
• Distribute informational materials and communicate program information effectively.
• Identify community needs, concerns, and opportunities for collaboration.
• Collect community feedback and share insights with relevant internal teams.
• Work with partners and volunteers to support outreach programs.
• Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, contacts, attendance, and outcomes.
• Prepare basic reports on outreach activities and community engagement.
• Promote an inclusive, respectful, and positive image of the organization.
• Perform other duties related to community engagement as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Communications, Public Relations, Social Work, Marketing, Community Development, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in community outreach, customer service, public relations, events, sales, or nonprofit work is an advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
• Comfortable speaking with diverse groups of people.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to attend community events and work occasional evenings or weekends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and basic social media tools is an advantage.
