Senior Manager, Operations Excellence

Objective

The Senior Manager, Operations Excellence is responsible for driving continuousimprovement, operational efficiency, and standardisation across theorganisation’s supply chain and fulfilment network. A core and immediatepriority of this role is to lead theoptimisation of warehouse processes and serve as the functional owner for the Manhattan Warehouse Management System, alongside the Warehouse Control System (WCS). This includes governance and execution of Manhattan-related change requests, configurations, systemcustomisations, testing,deployment, and technology enhancements.

KeyResponsibilities and Duties

Warehouse Systems & Technology Management (Initial Priority)

· SystemOwnership: Act as the primaryoperational and functional owner for the Manhattan Warehouse Management System and Warehouse Control System (WCS)

· Manhattan Enhancements & Change Requests: Lead the definition, prioritisation, testing, anddeployment of Manhattan change requests, configurations, custom developments, and software enhancements in partnershipwith IT and external vendors

· Process-to-System Integration: Ensure that system logic and configurations accurately reflectphysical warehouse layouts, material handling equipment (MHE), and automationworkflows to maximise throughput

· Requirements& Governance: Authorcomprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), manage User AcceptanceTesting (UAT), and oversee the transition and change management of new systemupdates across sites

Operations Excellence & Process Optimisation

· Streamlining Warehouse Processes: Conduct rigorous end-to-end analyses of warehouseoperations—encompassing inbound receiving, slotting optimisation, putawaylogic, inventory control, picking strategies, packing efficiency, and outboundshipping. Streamlining these workflows entails:

- Eliminating Waste & Bottlenecks - Applying Lean and industrial engineering principles to minimisetravel time, eliminate redundant handling steps, reduce cycle times, and smoothout workflow surges

- Ergonomics & Layout Design - Optimising facility floor plans, slotting configurations,and pick-face designs to improve safety, space utilisation, and pickerproductivity

- Labour & Capacity Planning - Aligning workforce management with automated orsemi-automated material handling systems to balance workloads dynamically and optimiselabour cost-per-unit

· Standardisation: Establish, document, and enforce standardised operatingprocedures (SOPs) across all fulfilment operations to drive scalability,accuracy, and cost-efficiency

· Performance Metrics: Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators(KPIs) relating to warehouse productivity, labour utilisation, error rates, andinventory accuracy

Cross-Functional Leadership & Project Management

· StakeholderCollaboration: Partner closely with siteoperations, IT, product engineering, and finance teams to align operationalgoals with technology roadmaps

· Change Management: Spearhead organisational change management initiatives toensure seamless adoption of new processes and technology rollouts byoperational personnel

· CapabilityBuilding: Provide mentorship, training,and operational guidance to local site managers and continuous improvementpersonnel

· Complywith the requirements set out in the Quality Management System, FSC COCManagement System, Environmental, Health & Safety Management System, BCP,and any other relevant systems deemed related to the logistics industry

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree inSupply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management,Business Administration, or a related discipline

· At least 15 years ofprogressive experience in supply chain operations, warehouse management, oroperations excellence, with a proven track record in Manhattan WMS implementation, optimisation,configuration, change requests, or complex system enhancements

· Demonstrated hands-onexperience with Manhattan WMS,including configuration, operational support, testing, issue resolution, andprocess-to-system translation; proficiency in dataanalysis tools such as SQL, Excel, and BI tools

· Exceptional projectmanagement skills, strong technical-to-operational translation skills, andproven leadership in a cross-functional environment
