Vessel Technical Manager - COC 1 - MNC

Job Description

• Manage the technical operations and performance of assigned vessels.

• Ensure vessels operate safely, compliantly and cost-effectively.

• Oversee maintenance, repairs, dry docking and technical projects.

• Work closely with Chief Engineers and shipboard teams to resolve technical issues.

• Manage budgets, procurement and technical decisions.

• Lead incident prevention, investigation and continuous improvement.

• Maintain strong relationships with ship owners, class, charterers and other stakeholders.

Job Requirements

• Chief Engineer sailing experience on bulk carriers/VLOC, OR shore-based experience as a Vessel Manager handling VLOCs.

• Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and compliance, including ISM/ISO.

• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

• Basic computer skills; BASSnet experience is an advantage.

• Proactive, solutions-oriented and able to balance safety, operations and cost control.
