Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the General Manager in managing the full spectrum of HR functions.
  • Manage recruitment and hiring activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, offer preparation and onboarding.
  • Support compensation and benefits administration, talent management, employee engagement, performance management and training matters.
  • Maintain HR information systems and employee records.
  • Handle income tax, employee insurance, work passes and other HR compliance matters, including work pass applications.
  • Coordinate and administer employee training and development initiatives.
  • Supervise daily office operations and ensure smooth administrative processes.
  • Oversee non-trade accounts payable and receivable matters and review staff expense claims.
  • Organize company events, meetings and internal activities.
  • Maintain the company intranet and internal administrative resources.
  • Ensure office policies, procedures and records are properly maintained.
  • Support internal audits, financial audits and corporate compliance activities.
  • Support Board of Directors matters and liaise with relevant government agencies on memberships, grants and other corporate applications.
  • Manage data subscriptions and related corporate service arrangements.
  • Support internal control processes, including J-SOX compliance and other governance requirements.
  • Work closely with relevant departments to ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Provide HR and administrative support to the London Branch Office.
  • Coordinate with overseas colleagues on HR, administration, compliance and operational matters where required.


Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
  • With 10 - 15 years of relevant experience in HR, administration, corporate affairs or office management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at different levels.
  • Positive and adaptable approach with a willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Able to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Meticulous, organized and detail-oriented, with good numerical ability and a strong sense of accuracy.
  • Experience in a Japan MNC company, trading company or energy-related business would be an advantage.
