Job Purpose

Lewe Engineering Pte Ltd provides M&E and facilities operations and maintenance services in Singapore, supporting critical manufacturing and industrial facilities. We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support our facilities operations.

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of facility utility and building systems to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted support for manufacturing operations. The technician works closely with engineers, contractors, and vendors to maintain critical facilities infrastructure in compliance with safety, environmental, and operational requirements.

Key Requirements
Operations & Maintenance

  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, monitoring, and operation of facilities systems.

  • Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities according to approved maintenance schedules and procedures.

  • Troubleshoot equipment faults and support recovery activities to minimise downtime.

  • Perform equipment start-up, shutdown, isolation, and restoration activities.

  • Maintain equipment history, maintenance records, and operational logs.

  • Support emergency response and after-hours troubleshooting as required.

Facilities Systems Support

  • Support operation and maintenance of facility systems such as:

    • GCW Chiller Plant and Cooling Towers

    • ACMV Systems (AHU, MAU, FCU, Split Units / CRAC)

    • Fire Protection and Alarm Systems

    • Lifts

    • Lighting / emergency light / spotlight / perimeter lighting

    • Cleanroom ceiling / lighting

    • Cold Room

    • Ventilation Fans

Contractor & Vendor Management

  • Guide and supervise contractors during maintenance and repair activities.

  • Verify work completion and adherence to safety and quality requirements.

  • Participate in site surveys and support project implementation activities.

  • Escalate service deficiencies and follow up on corrective actions.

Safety & Compliance

  • Comply with all EHS requirements, Facilities Disciplines, LOTO, PTW, PTP, and site safety procedures.

  • Participate in risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action implementation.

  • Maintain auditable maintenance records and documentation.

  • Support internal and external audits as required.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education:

    • Diploma, NITEC, Higher NITEC, or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Facilities Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Experience:

    • 1 to 2 years of experience in facilities operations, maintenance, utilities, semiconductor, manufacturing, or industrial environments.

    • Experience with critical utility systems and preventive maintenance programs is preferred.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.

    • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance procedures.

    • Experience troubleshooting facility equipment and utility systems.

    • Familiarity with SAP maintenance systems is an advantage.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

    • Good communication and coordination skills.

    • Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and emergency call-outs when required.

Profile / Qualification

  • Preferred Education- Diploma, NITEC, Higher NITEC, or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Facilities Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Professional Experience (required)- 1 to 2 years in facilities operations, maintenance, utilities, semiconductor, manufacturing, or industrial environments.

  • Additional Experience (optional)- Experience with critical utility systems and preventive maintenance programs.

  • Knowledge and Skills- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems. Able to read technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance procedures. Experience troubleshooting facility equipment and utility systems.

  • Computer Skills- Familiarity with SAP maintenance systems is an advantage.

  • Languages - English

  • Mobility- As when needed; rotating shifts, weekends, and emergency call-outs.

  • Other Requirements- Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and emergency call-outs.
