Fire Safety Manager ( Contract / Immediate )

The Fire Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with all fire safety regulations and requirements within the school premises. The incumbent will develop, implement, and maintain effective fire safety management systems, emergency preparedness plans, fire prevention measures, and evacuation procedures to provide a safe learning and working environment for students, staff, visitors, and contractors.

Responsibilities :

Fire Safety Management

• Act as the appointed Fire Safety Manager in accordance with Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) regulations and the Fire Safety Act.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the school's Fire Emergency Plan (FEP).
• Ensure compliance with all statutory fire safety requirements, codes, and regulations.
• Conduct regular fire safety inspections and audits of school facilities.
• Monitor and maintain fire protection systems, equipment, and installations.
• Coordinate rectification works arising from fire safety inspections and audits.

Emergency Preparedness & Response

• Plan, organize, and conduct fire drills and evacuation exercises in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Lead and coordinate emergency response activities during fire incidents and other emergencies.
• Investigate fire-related incidents, near misses, and safety breaches, and recommend corrective actions.
• Review and update emergency response procedures periodically.

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of fire safety inspections, training, drills, maintenance activities, and regulatory submissions.
• Liaise with relevant authorities including SCDF and government agencies on fire safety matters.
• Ensure all fire safety certifications, licences, permits, and documentation are valid and up to date.
• Prepare reports and presentations for management on fire safety performance and compliance status.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, Safety Management, Fire Safety, or a related discipline.
• Registered Fire Safety Manager certification recognized by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in fire safety, facilities management, building operations, or emergency preparedness.
