Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake building condition surveys, technical due diligence inspections, and pre-acquisition surveys, and prepare clear, well-structured reports
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for building surveying and TDD as part of a regional team across APAC.
  • Prepare schedules of condition and schedules of dilapidations, and negotiate dilapidations claims on behalf of landlords and tenants
  • Administer building contracts, including preparing specifications, tender documentation, and managing projects through to completion
  • Carry out defect diagnosis and recommend appropriate remedial solutions
  • Advise clients on statutory compliance, including fire safety, accessibility, and building regulations
  • Manage planned maintenance programmes and prepare maintenance forecasts and budgets
  • Provide party wall and license for alteration advice where required
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, local authorities, and other consultants to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Support the wider team on larger instructions and contribute to business development activity
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Present reports and updates to senior management and clients.
  • Mentor and develop colleagues and team members including being assigned an interns.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Ensure the team is up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.
  • Ensure all building surveying activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance processes.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
  • At least 3 years of experience in a building surveying role, ideally within a consultancy or property services environment
  • Strong knowledge of building construction, defects, building regulations, and relevant legislation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CAD, NBS, or surveying software is an advantage
