M&E Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified M&E Engineer to plan, coordinate, and oversee mechanical and electrical engineering works for building construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure that M&E systems are properly coordinated, installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project requirements, approved designs, and Singapore regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate mechanical and electrical (M&E) works to meet project requirements, approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards
• Review M&E drawings, technical submissions, calculations, and specifications to verify compliance with project requirements
• Oversee and coordinate M&E installation works on site to ensure quality execution and adherence to construction progress schedules
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve M&E-related technical issues promptly
• Monitor M&E works including testing, commissioning, and rectification to ensure systems meet approved requirements
• Assist in coordinating with relevant authorities and consultants on M&E technical matters and regulatory submissions as needed

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or M&E Engineering
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in M&E construction projects in Singapore
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant M&E/BIM software; knowledge of Revit MEP is advantageous
• Good knowledge of Singapore building codes, M&E standards, and regulatory requirements
• Experience in M&E coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning
• Strong communication, coordination, and technical problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary project team
