Senior Design Engineer
About this job
Senior Design Engineer
As a Senior Design Engineer within the Singapore-based Design Engineering team, you will be instrumental in guiding new product categories from their earliest conceptual stages through to successful production. You will be responsible for designing complex mechanical assemblies and product systems, ensuring they meet exacting standards for performance, reliability, quality, and user experience.
This role involves close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, researchers, manufacturing specialists, operations personnel, quality teams, and external development partners. You will drive ideas through comprehensive prototyping, rigorous testing, and ultimately into manufacturing. This position offers significant scope to apply deep technical expertise, collaborate across various functional areas, and utilize evidence-based decision-making to overcome intricate engineering challenges.
You will also work in conjunction with global engineering teams to develop assembly-level designs and robust manufacturing solutions. Partnering with category experts and support teams, you will contribute to defining critical design requirements and evaluating potential solutions. Beyond your technical contributions, you will help cultivate a collaborative and inclusive team culture, mentoring colleagues, sharing knowledge, and supporting the team in achieving outstanding engineering outcomes.
