Drive Efficient Material Supply for Manufacturing

Looking to take the next step in procurement, supply planning, and supplier management within a manufacturing environment?

We are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to manage material requirements, monitor supplier commitments, and support timely material availability for production. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve supply challenges, maintain accurate planning information, and support efficient inventory management.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Review MRP outputs, forecasts and supply requirements to determine upcoming material needs and communicate requirements to suppliers.
• Monitor purchase orders, supplier confirmations and delivery schedules, taking timely action to expedite outstanding or delayed orders.
• Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve quality issues, engineering changes, returns, receiving discrepancies and invoice-related matters.
• Maintain accurate procurement, supplier and material information within relevant ERP and supply-chain systems.
• Monitor inventory levels and material requirements, identifying potential shortages, excess stock and inventory optimisation opportunities.
• Coordinate with Planning, Production, Quality, Procurement and other relevant functions to ensure materials are available according to production requirements.
• Identify potential supply constraints, delivery risks and material shortages, escalating issues where appropriate.
• Support purchasing activities including order placement, follow-up, supplier communication and delivery coordination.
• Analyse supply and purchasing information to support better planning decisions and improve material availability.
• Build effective working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to maintain reliable supply performance.

What We’re Looking For

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in purchasing, procurement or materials planning, preferably involving electronic or mechanical components and assemblies.
• Prior experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for tracking, reporting and supply analysis.
• Knowledge of SAP ERP will be advantageous.
• Strong communication, supplier management, follow-up and problem-solving capabilities.
• Organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Candidates with experience in manufacturing, electronics, engineering, medical technology, biotechnology or other technical industries are encouraged to apply.
