Looking to take on a hands-on manufacturing role that combines technical troubleshooting, team coordination, production support, and continuous improvement?

We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support production activities involving precision instruments in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role will work closely with production, engineering and quality teams to maintain smooth operations, address technical issues, and drive improvements in manufacturing performance.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist the Supervisor and Line Leader in managing daily assembly, testing and production activities.
  • Coordinate and support Production Operators and Technicians to meet daily production requirements.
  • Follow technical drawings, specifications and established procedures during assembly and testing.
  • Review yield, quality and production issues and work with Engineering on troubleshooting and corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain practical work instructions, troubleshooting references and standard procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, productivity, quality and workflow efficiency.
  • Provide line leadership and operational support when required.
  • Ensure production activities comply with safety, quality, GMP and established manufacturing requirements.
  • Train and coach production personnel on proper assembly, testing and operating procedures.
  • Allocate daily tasks and ensure personnel are suitably trained and competent for their assigned responsibilities.
  • Maintain accurate training records, competency documentation and training matrices.
  • Support inventory checks, cycle counts and other material control activities.
  • Prepare production-related reports and maintain accurate operational records.
  • Assist Engineering and Technical teams with initial assessment of defective materials, equipment problems and yield issues.
  • Participate in controlled trials, experiments and evaluation runs to identify solutions to production and equipment-related issues.
  • Contribute to Lean, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives across the production environment.
  • Perform ERP transactions and ensure materials are accurately kitted according to production requirements.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to improve and maintain effective material kitting processes.
  • Adhere to applicable ISO 13485, cGMP, MDSAP, quality management, safety and regulatory requirements.

What We’re Looking For

  • Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience in a regulated manufacturing environment; OR
  • NTC / ITE qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in regulated manufacturing or production environments.
  • Familiarity with quality systems and standards such as ISO 13485, cGMP or other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Good understanding of mechanical and/or electrical engineering concepts.
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
  • Able to interpret production Bills of Materials (BOM) and understand their application within manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exposure to new product transfer or manufacturing transfer activities will be advantageous.
  • Experience supporting audits within an ISO 13485 or cGMP environment will be an advantage.
  • A proactive team player who is comfortable working in a hands-on production setting.
  • Strong focus on quality, safety, accuracy and continuous improvement.
