Senior Executive, Admission & Discharge

Job Description

• Establish and review all registration, admission, financial counselling, billing & payment processes, ensuring urgent cases are fast-tracked for immediate admission and/or discharge.

• Review and conduct audit checks on cashier collections, day end closing and daily banking of cash and cheques.

• Prepare Patient Service Officer's duty roster to ensure adequate coverage of all service centres managed by Admission & Discharge

• Assist staff members with or personally attend to customers' enquiries and feedback. Maintain good rapport with patients, doctors, clinic staff, insurance providers and the general public. Ensure that queries/issues are attended to efficiently within established service standards.

• Manage team members' performance and perform appraisal.

• Run roll calls and staff briefings.

• Perform Senior Patient Service Officer duties in relation to admission and discharge of patients as and when required.

• Plan and schedule training programmes of Patient Service Officer in the MediTech Expanse system and SOP compliance. Provide coaching and guidance to new staff.

• Manage the staff roster.

• Manage, track and review Key Performance Indicators for Admission & Discharge.

• Assist in continuous improvement projects and enhance customer service levels.

• Work closely with all stakeholders in the management of patients' journey in the hospital.

• Participate in committees as assigned.

• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree holder

• At least 3-4 years of experience in admission & discharge in the healthcare sector.

• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT application systems.

• Strong customer service skills.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills and able to work under pressure.

• Familiar with basic medical terminology.

• IT literate and able to work with numbers.
