Job Title: Finance Manager (Family Office Operations)
Reports to: Operations Director
Location: Singapore
Job Purpose
Responsible for treasury, cash and liquidity management across the family office's onshore and offshore entities, execution of investment and secondary-market transactions, and the financial, banking and regulatory administration of the group's multi-jurisdictional holding structure.
Key Responsibilities
Treasury, Cash and Investment Execution
- Execute approved investment decisions and secondary-market transactions in line with the investment committee's instructions.
- Manage group-wide cash positions, liquidity planning and fund allocation across bank and private banking accounts.
- Deploy and monitor cash management instruments, including money market funds and short-term placements.
Banking and Account Management
- Manage bank and private banking relationships for multiple onshore and offshore entities, covering account opening, fund transfers, trade settlement, KYC and periodic reviews, tax residency documentation, signatory and authorisation matrices, and day-to-day maintenance.
Entity Governance and Cross-Border Compliance
- Oversee the establishment and ongoing operation of entities across the UK, Japan, Switzerland, Singapore, Hong Kong and the BVI, coordinating banks, corporate secretaries, trustees, legal counsel, accountants and tax advisers.
- Manage economic substance filings and annual compliance for a portfolio of over 30 BVI companies, maintaining entity classification, document preparation, approval workflows and deadline tracking.
- Support Singapore Section 13X (13U) fund tax incentive matters, including AUM computation and annual reporting, and prepare Japanese labour compliance documentation.
Process Improvement and Data Integration
- Drive automation and standardisation of finance and operations processes, including integration of Bloomberg corporate actions data, AI-assisted invoice extraction and classification, and reconciliation of asset, trading and accounting data to a single source of truth.
Operations and People Support
- Provide operational and HR support for overseas entities, including employment contracts, offer letters, side letters, separation agreements, work visas, recruitment, corporate seal control and payment approvals.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline; CFA charterholder or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in treasury, fund operations or finance management within a family office, asset manager or private bank.
- Hands-on experience with multi-jurisdictional entity administration, banking KYC and offshore compliance (BVI economic substance, Singapore fund tax incentives).
- Strong process and data orientation, with a track record of implementing automation in finance operations.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin, with the ability to liaise with counterparties across Asia and Europe.
