SKEI markets and trades crude oil and petroleum products. The company was incorporated in 1990 and is based in Singapore. SK energy international operates as a subsidiary of SK trading international.
The trader (Asia Middle Distillates) will be a member in Distillates Business Division, one of the trading books in Singapore, reporting to the department head and supporting SK Energy's commodities trading business. Responsibilities include:
[Managing Trading Position]
- To trade in assigned products (middle distillates) and related derivatives
- Structured trading methodology to manage trading exposure and use of hedging and risk management strategies to manage risk / exposure
[Forecasting Market] - Creation of Business Opportunity within Japanese markets
- Identify and develop new trading opportunities within Japanese markets
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure optimal outcomes
- Knowledge and experience in Japanese markets to support market expansion plans
[Forecasting Market] - Analysis and Logical Hypothesis
- Ability to have macro and micro view to draw insights and expand trading activities by researching on cause and effect to get better accuracy, and to develop strategic model based on deep knowledge and global network of the market

Candidate Profile
A self-motivated individual who values integrity, have willing brain engagement in going the extra mile to provide excellence, creating happiness and value to stakeholders. A strong candidate should possess the following:
- Degree in Business, Economics, Finance or other relevant qualifications with strong mathematical inclination
- Minimum 8 years within oil trading industry
- 5 years of light/middle distillates trading experiences with Japanese companies and/or Japan counterparties (due to market expansion)
- Minimum 1 year of both refinery and operations experience
- ETRM System Skills
- Refinery export process experience will be appreciated
- Strongly analytical and financial modelling skills to assimilate complex and ambiguous data to identify key issues and aid in decision making
- Highly motivated and organized individual who exhibits strong integrity, work ethics and ability to perform under pressure
- Effective team player with excellent oral and written communication skills and strong stakeholder management skills
