About this job

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Specialist, Finance Operations

In this role you will:

  • Daily cash management: monitor bank balances across multiple bank accounts, prepare daily cash positions/forecasts, and act on surpluses/shortfalls.
  • Execute liquidity movements: perform fund transfers between accounts/entities and ensure sufficient liquidity for policyholders, vendors, and business payments.
  • Post accounting entries: record transfer-related journal entries accurately and on time in the accounting system.
  • Deliver bank reconciliations: complete monthly bank recs, investigate/reconcile outstanding items, and ensure bank balances tie to the General Ledger (GL).
  • Run interfund settlement: prepare the monthly interfund settlement schedule, investigate fund code imbalances, and post settlement journals promptly.
  • Support regulatory compliance: ensure interfund balances are settled within MAS regulatory requirement and support compliance with MAS Notice 101.
  • Manage banking operational matters: coordinate banking mandate updates and act as primary contact for bank/KYC requests.
  • Provide audit & change support: support external audits (bank balances/interfund), maintain Nostro accounts, and perform ad-hoc system/report testing during changes.

To be successful you will need:

  • Proven track record in a cash management / financial operations role, ideally within insurance.
  • Strong understanding of core accounting concepts, including profit and loss (P&L), balances, and the chart of accounts (CoA).
  • Strong ownership mindset and willingness to learn, with a focus on delivering outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and technical capability, including the ability to explain movements and underlying drivers (not just report results).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft application tools is required; Exposure to AI Agentic tools and end-to-end ERP system (e.g. Oracle or SAP) is an added advantage;
  • Ability to work to fixed reporting deadlines with limited supervision and maintain clear documentation.
