Looking for a short-term assignment this November and December?

Join an international education assessment project and help review and score student responses using established marking guidelines. Training will be provided.

30 November 2026 to 11 December 2026

9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

  • Review and score student responses according to established marking guides and scoring criteria.
  • Use a computer-based scoring platform to assess and record marks.
  • Attend mandatory training and calibration sessions to ensure consistent application of scoring standards.
  • Maintain accuracy and confidentiality throughout the marking process.
  • Perform administrative duties related to the marking process as required.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in written Malay, as the role involves reviewing and assessing responses written in Malay.
  • Comfortable using computers and web-based systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to apply marking guidelines accurately and consistently.
  • Able to commit to the full project duration.

Preferred Qualifications

Applicants should meet at least one of the following criteria, as the role requires the assessment and grading of examination responses in Malay:

  • Within the last 3 years, obtained Grade C or higher for H2 Malay Language & Literature in the GCE A-Level examination, JC2 school examination, JC1 school examination, or equivalent qualifications (e.g. IB examinations).
  • Within the last 3 years, obtained Grade B or higher for H1 Malay Language in the GCE A-Level examination, JC2 school examination, JC1 school examination, or equivalent qualifications (e.g. IB examinations).
  • Within the last 3 years, obtained any one of the following:
  • Grade B3 or higher for Higher Malay; or
  • Grade B4 or higher for Higher Malay and Grade B3 or higher in Literature in Malay (Full or Elective); or
  • Grade A2 or higher for Malay Language in the GCE O-Level examination, Secondary 4/5 school examination, or equivalent qualifications (e.g. IB examinations).

  • Training will be provided.
  • Prior marking experience is not required.
  • Applicants will be assessed based on their qualifications, skills, experience, and ability to perform the requirements of the role.
