Posting Description:

As a Natural Resources Investment Banking Vice President, you will be a client-facing execution and origination support leader focused on Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables, and Mining & Metals clients. You will drive day-to-day transaction execution across mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity capital markets, and strategic advisory mandates, while supporting senior bankers in developing client relationships, originating opportunities, and delivering high-quality advice. This role requires strong financial and valuation expertise, sound judgment, a global mindset, and the ability to manage teams and multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead execution across sell-side and buy-side M&A, capital raises, and strategic advisory assignments from kickoff through closing

• Own key workstreams including due diligence, evaluation of transaction risks, valuation and financial modeling, and strategic assessment

• Draft and quality-control core deliverables, including pitch books, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, board materials, investment committee memoranda, and lender or investor materials

• Manage due diligence processes, including data room setup, Q&A coordination, expert calls, and site visits as applicable, while maintaining clear issue and risk tracking

• Coordinate internal and external parties, including coverage and product partners, legal advisers, accountants, consultants, lenders, investors, and counterparties, to keep processes on schedule

• Coach and develop Analysts and Associates; delegate effectively, review work for accuracy, and ensure consistent standards

• Support senior bankers in client coverage by tracking sector developments, maintaining client-specific materials, and preparing for meetings and calls

• Contribute to origination efforts by identifying ideas such as portfolio optimization, consolidation themes, joint venture structures, asset divestitures, and capital structure solutions, and translating them into actionable pitches

• Apply sector knowledge to execution, including commodity-price-linked sensitivities, technical concepts, regulatory considerations, and ESG and energy-transition dynamics

• Ensure adherence to compliance policies, confidentiality requirements, and information-barrier protocols

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a relevant discipline

• Minimum 6 years of relevant investment banking experience, with demonstrated transaction execution experience in Oil & Gas and/or Power & Renewables

• Track record of leading execution on M&A and/or capital markets transactions

• Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables, NAV or asset-based valuation where relevant, and LBO or returns analysis

• Proven ability to manage multiple live workstreams simultaneously and prioritize effectively under time pressure

• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

• Solid knowledge of Natural Resources markets and business models, with strong analytical skills and commercial judgment.

• Strong understanding of capital structure, credit metrics, and financing terms

• Excellent PowerPoint and written communication skills, with a strong focus on clarity, logic, and accuracy

• High attention to detail and strong quality-control habits
