Job Summary

Lead and shape the Group’s Workplace Safety & Health (TWSH) strategy, governance, and compliance to ensure a safe work environment. Drive risk management, incident investigations, and continuous improvement while fostering a strong safety culture across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Group TWSH strategy and roadmap to align with organizational goals.
  • Establish and maintain Group-wide TWSH policies and standards to ensure consistent safety practices.
  • Advise Management on TWSH governance and compliance to support informed decision-making.
  • Oversee Workplace Safety & Health Management Systems (ISO 45001) to maintain certification and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant WSH legislation and regulations to mitigate legal risks.
  • Monitor Group safety performance and key safety KPIs to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead enterprise-wide safety risk management initiatives to proactively address hazards.
  • Oversee risk assessments, Safe Work Procedures (SWPs), and permit-to-work systems to control operational risks.
  • Review high-risk operations and critical safety controls to ensure adequacy and effectiveness.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety.
  • Promote occupational health and employee well-being programmes to support a healthy workforce.
  • Foster a strong safety culture through targeted training and employee engagement activities.
  • Manage regulatory audits, inspections, and maintain effective stakeholder relationships to ensure compliance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Group TWSH teams and safety capabilities to build organizational expertise.

Required competencies and certifications

  • Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Environmental Management, or related field.
  • Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO).
  • Specialist Diploma in WSH or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant WSH experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in safety leadership or group-level management role.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification.
  • Fire Safety Manager, ECMO, ECO, or related certifications.
