Job Summary
Lead audit and tax fieldwork teams to plan, execute, and conclude assignments in compliance with professional standards. Supervise junior staff, prepare audit and tax reports, and support client portfolio management and training initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead audit and tax fieldwork teams to plan, execute, document, and conclude assignments in compliance with relevant professional standards
- Conduct audit planning, system reviews, and fieldwork for clients across various industries to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting
- Supervise and guide junior colleagues to ensure quality and timely completion of audit and related assignments
- Prepare detailed audit reports and schedules for delivery to clients and external parties
- Assist in preparing accurate tax computations and schedules for clients and external parties
- Collaborate effectively with team members by sharing responsibilities and maintaining clear communication to support engagement success
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients to facilitate smooth engagement execution and client satisfaction
- Support audit partners in administrative functions related to client portfolio management to enhance operational efficiency
- Assist in training and technical matters to improve team capabilities and knowledge sharing
- Provide support for non-audit services within the public accounting practice on an as-needed basis to meet client needs
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Accountancy or professional qualification under ACCA and SCAQ schemes
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an external auditor
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Proactive and committed team player with initiative and ability to work independently
- Strong analytical thinking skills applied to audit and tax assignments for problem-solving and decision-making
- Effective time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with the use of Caseware audit software to enhance audit processes
