Lift Engineer
About this job
We are seeking a Lift Engineer to oversee the maintenance, performance, safety and reliability of lift systems across the estates. The successful candidate will manage lift maintenance contractors, monitor statutory compliance, investigate lift faults and breakdowns, and support lift upgrading and replacement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance, operation and performance of lift systems across estates.
- Monitor lift availability, breakdowns, response times and rectification works to ensure service standards are met.
- Manage and evaluate lift maintenance contractors, including their performance, workmanship and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and follow up on defects, recurring faults and outstanding rectification works.
- Investigate major or recurring lift faults and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
- Ensure lifts comply with statutory, safety and regulatory requirements, including inspection, testing and certification requirements.
- Provide technical support for lift replacement, upgrading, modernization and improvement projects.
- Review technical submissions, maintenance reports, specifications and contractors’ recommendations.
- Liaise with Town Council management, contractors, regulatory authorities and residents on lift-related matters.
- Prepare reports on lift performance, breakdown trends, contractor performance, maintenance activities and improvement recommendations.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum NITEC/ Diploma in Electronics, Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in lift engineering or maintenance.
- Good knowledge of lift systems, maintenance practices and relevant Singapore statutory requirements.
- Good problem-solving, contractor management and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple sites and respond effectively to operational issues.
- Experience in managing lift contractors and/or lift upgrading or replacement projects in public housing, Town Council, commercial or institutional environments will be an advantage.
Employment Type: 2-year contract (renewable) with benefits
Work Location: Northwest - Choa Chu Kang
Work Schedule: 5-day work week, is required to work half-day on the first Saturday of each month
