Service Sales Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, support and motivate a team of Service Department.

• Provide Service Sales proposal focusing on customer’s needs. Upgrades, Retrofits, Service Agreement and Support, Spare Parts, Technical training.

• Own and drive Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) renewals – tracking contract expiry pipelines and proactively engaging customers ahead of renewal dates to minimize lapses in coverage.

• Develop excellent relationship with customers.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and potential customer accounts.

• Analyse market trends and customer need to adapt and refine proposals / strategies for system improvement.

• Understand customer needs and develop customised service solutions.

• Ensure customer satisfaction by promptly addressing any concerns or issues.

• Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics.

• Prepare annual service sales budget and rolling monthly/quarterly forecasts across AMC, retrofit, and spare parts revenue streams, tracking actual performance against budget and flagging variances early.

• Make recommendations and solutions to enhance effectiveness.

• Negotiate upgrades,service contracts and agreements with customers, ensuring favourable terms for both parties.

• Collaborate to review and finalize contracts.

• Ensure that all sales activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.

• Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, contracts, and customer communications.

• Act as the key point of contact for the customer on all commercial matters relating to AMC, retrofit, and spare parts – ensuring a single, consistent point of contact for pricing, contract, and order-related queries.

Requirements
The person:

• · Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field

• Proven trackrecord of success in service sales, with at least 5 years of experience

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
