Business Analyst / Education Sector

Join a team supporting the digital systems behind student academic services. This hands-on role combines business analysis, system support, data analysis, testing, and programming, offering strong exposure to digital transformation projects within a large organisation.

Job Type: Full-Time Contract (Subjected to renewal/potential for conversion)

Key Responsibilities

• Gather user requirements and translate business needs into clear system requirements, user stories and process flows.
• Review existing workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Support system enhancements, testing, UAT, defect tracking and implementation activities.
• Provide Level 2 application support and coordinate issue resolution with IT teams and vendors.
• Perform data extraction, cleansing, reconciliation and analysis using Excel and SQL.
• Support system configuration using low-code tools and assist with data migration activities.
• Prepare and maintain system documentation, user guides, FAQs and training materials.
• Support project workshops, meeting documentation, action tracking and rollout activities.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field with 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), requirements gathering and software testing.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Exposure to SQL, Python, VBA or low-code platforms will be advantageous.
• Familiarity with Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence, Denodo or Snowflake is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication and documentation skills.
• Organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working with both business users and technical teams.
• Experience with programming would be greatly advantageous
