Communications Manager – Contract
About this job
This is a 1 year contract
Our client, a leading international bank with a strong presence across wealth and corporate & institutional banking in Singapore, is looking for an experienced Communications Manager to join their team.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of International Wealth & Premier Banking Communications, this role sits at the heart of how the bank tells its story — to customers, employees, and the wider market. You'll shape customer communications strategy, strengthen the bank's brand and reputation, and design an internal communications approach that connects employees across the Singapore business to the bank's ambitions.
What you'll be doing
- Customer communications – Build and manage integrated communications plans for business transformation and strategic change programmes, with governance to keep messaging consistent across every channel and audience.
- Leadership communications – Drive senior stakeholder engagement, from speechwriting and opinion articles to internal notes and social content, ensuring a strong voice in Singapore media and social channels.
- Internal communications – Partner with business teams to run a two-way communications programme that keeps employees connected to strategy, supports change management, and reinforces culture.
- External communications – Build media relationships and craft narratives, briefs, and speeches that profile the bank's strategy and priorities.
- Issues management – Lead crisis communications planning and execution to protect the bank's reputation in high-pressure situations.
What we're looking for
- 10+ years in corporate communications, media relations, PR, employee communications, or content, either agency-side or in-house
- Proven ability to influence, engage, and negotiate with senior stakeholders as a trusted advisor
- Strong project management skills and comfort operating in a matrixed organisation under tight deadlines
- Exceptional storytelling and content skills, with the ability to create engaging written and social media content
- Multi-media skills, including video editing
- Financial services experience is an advantage; media crisis experience is a plus
- Strong presenter and communicator with a collaborative, can-do mindset and a growth-oriented, strategic outlook
