Safety officer

1.Job Description

• Risk Assessment: Inspect work areas and equipment to identify hazards and evaluate potential risks.

• Policy Implementation: Develop and update clear safety guidelines that match Singapore laws. Establish, implement and monitor WSH management systems on-site.

• Safety Training: Educate employees on emergency procedures, first aid, and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Incident Investigation: Review accidents or near-misses to find root causes and create preventive rules. Conduct Committee meeting, safety inspections, toolbox meetings, and incident investigations.

• Safety Audits: Conduct routine inspections and maintain accurate logs of safety performance and reports. Prepare safety reports (e.g., monthly WSH performance, near-miss analyses).

2. Qualifications & Skills

• Education: A diploma or bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications: Registered MOM WSHO.ECO certificate will be a priority.
• Communication: Strong speaking and training skills to explain rules clearly to staff and management.
• Observational Skills: High attention to detail to spot unsafe acts or non-compliance immediately.
• Singaporeans and PRs preferred.
