About the Role

We are looking for a Registered Optician or Probationary Optician registered with the Optometrists and Opticians Board (OOB) to join our healthcare team on a 6-month locum basis!

This is a great opportunity for opticians looking for a flexible working arrangement while gaining experience in a professional healthcare environment and providing quality optical care and advice to patients

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional optical advice and educate patients on eye care and suitable optical solutions.

• Conduct eye examinations using specialised equipment to assess patients' ocular health.

• Recommend appropriate optical solutions based on patients' needs.

• Dispense lenses and assist with the management of lens inventory.

• Maintain a high standard of patient service and professional care.

Requirements

• Registered Optician or Probationary Optician with OOB.

• Minimum Diploma in Optometry or NITEC / Higher NITEC in Opticianry.

• Relevant experience in opticianry or optical services will be an advantage.

• Strong communication and patient service skills
