M&E Project Manager – Chiller Plant Retrofit / ACMV (5-Month Contract)

About the Role

• We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with ACMV / chiller plant experience to manage the day-to-day delivery of a major chiller plant retrofit project within a live Grade A commercial building in Singapore.
• The project involves the replacement and retrofit of chillers, cooling towers, chilled and condenser water pumps, associated M&E works, BMS/EMS systems, as well as testing & commissioning and Green Mark-related activities.
• You will act as the key point of contact between the client, project management team, OEMs, consultants and subcontractors, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule and in accordance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of the chiller plant retrofit project.
• Monitor project progress, master schedule and critical-path activities.
• Coordinate work sequencing among subcontractors, OEMs and other stakeholders.
• Manage site access and permit-to-work requirements.
• Coordinate chiller, cooling tower, pump, BMS/EMS and associated M&E activities.
• Develop and manage the high-level Testing & Commissioning (T&C) plan.
• Witness and verify stage-by-stage T&C activities and track outstanding issues to closure.
• Troubleshoot technical and site coordination issues with vendors and subcontractors.
• Manage RFIs, project trackers, progress reports, meeting minutes and correspondence.
• Conduct weekly project meetings and attend client/subcontractor meetings as required.
• Coordinate with LEW and Green Mark consultants where required.
• Prepare interim operating documentation during system transition.
• Manage project handover documentation, folder structure and final handover package.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, M&E Engineering or related discipline.
• Project management experience within ACMV / HVAC / chiller plant projects.
• Hands-on experience with chiller plant replacement, retrofit, upgrading or installation projects
• Good understanding of chilled-water and condenser-water systems, cooling towers and pumps.
• Experience in Testing & Commissioning (T&C).
• Exposure to BMS/EMS systems would be advantageous.
• Experience managing projects within live/operational commercial buildings is highly desirable.
• Contractor, subcontractor, vendor and client management skills.
• Able to manage schedules, RFIs, project documentation and handover requirements independently.
• Green Mark and/or LEW coordination experience would be advantageous.

Contract Details

• Duration: 5 months, with possible extension by mutual agreement.
• Completion Bonus: S$8K
• Work arrangement: Work from home with onsite attendance required for meetings, project activities, deliveries and testing & commissioning.
