Social Worker Associate

Established in 2000, New Life Community Services is a not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to bringing hope and purpose to children, youths, and seniors. The Social Work Associate supports the delivery of social work services by conducting assessments, coordinating care plans, linking clients to resources, providing case management and administrative support which includes volunteer management under Casework & Counseling (CWC) services.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conducts client assessment and intake.
• Supports case management and programme delivery such as planning, intervention, and referrals under supervision.
• Prepares case recordings, social reports, ensures that documentations and database are in place and updated.
• Assists in the planning and facilitation of family workshops, and community outreach activities.
• Performs administrative duties related to casework and programme operations which include volunteer management, audits, data collection & analysis under supervision.
• Manages the planning and execution of volunteer-led activities.

Requirements

• Diploma in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, Sociology, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in social services, community and family work, case management and volunteer management is preferred.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse client groups.
• Empathetic, non-judgmental, and culturally sensitive when working with individuals and families from different backgrounds.
• Strong organisational, critical thinking, and time management skills.
