Singapore Aquatics is seeking a proactive and people-oriented Membership Executive to grow and engage our aquatics community. The role will build stronger connections with athletes, alumni, parents, technical officials, volunteers, masters swimmers, fans and other supporters of Singapore Aquatics.
The Membership Executive will report to the Assistant Director (Administration) and manage the full membership journey—from recruitment and onboarding to engagement, renewal and retention—while developing meaningful benefits, programmes and events that create value for members.
Key Responsibilities
Membership Growth and Development
Develop and implement strategies to grow the Singapore Aquatics membership (Friends of SAQ) base across key segments, including:
Current atheletes
Legacy Council and Alumni
Parents and families
Coaches and technical officials
Volunteers
Masters and recreational aquathletes
Fans and supporters
Clubs, schools and other aquatics stakeholders
Identify new membership opportunities and develop targeted recruitment campaigns for each segment.
Support the development of membership categories, benefits, pricing and value propositions.
Convert participants, event attendees, volunteers and supporters into active members.
Build partnerships that provide additional privileges, experiences and benefits to members.
Membership Platform and Administration
Manage the Singapore Aquatics membership platform and ensure member records are accurate and up to date.
Oversee membership applications, payments, approvals, onboarding, renewals and enquiries.
Maintain a clean and reliable membership database in compliance with Singapore Aquatics’ data protection policies and the Personal Data Protection Act.
Work with platform vendors to resolve technical issues and improve the member experience.
Develop membership reports and dashboards covering recruitment, engagement, renewal, retention and member demographics.
Support the administration, membership eligibility and member communications where applicable under the Singapore Aquatics Constitution and policies.
Member Engagement and Value Creation
Develop a year-round membership engagement calendar.
Create relevant benefits, content, programmes and experiences for different member segments.
Regularly engage members to understand their interests, needs and feedback.
Develop initiatives that encourage members to participate in and contribute to Singapore’s aquatics community.
Recognise and celebrate the contributions and achievements of athletes, alumni, officials, volunteers and other members.
Build a strong sense of identity, pride and belonging to Singapore Aquatics.
Events and Community Building
Work with operation teams to plan and organise member events such as:
Member appreciation events
Athlete and alumni networking sessions
Family and community aquatics activities
Masters networking activities
Volunteer and technical official engagement sessions
Member-exclusive competition access and hospitality activities
Manage event planning, registration, communications, logistics, budgeting and post-event evaluation.
Work with the various aquatics disciplines and departments to integrate membership engagement into Singapore Aquatics events and programmes.
Communications and Marketing
Work with marketing and communications team to:
Develop membership-related content for email, social media, websites and other communication channels.
Produce regular newsletters, event invitations, renewal reminders and member updates.
Work with the marketing and communications team on membership campaigns and promotional materials.
Share member stories that showcase the diversity and impact of the Singapore Aquatics community.
Ensure membership communications are timely, accurate and consistent with the Singapore Aquatics brand.
Stakeholder and Relationship Management
Build positive relationships with members and serve as a key point of contact for membership matters.
Work closely with clubs, athletes, alumni, parents, coaches, technical officials, volunteers and masters communities.
Collaborate across Singapore Aquatics departments, including sports, events, marketing, partnerships and corporate services.
Manage relationships with external partners, vendors and benefit providers.
Handle member enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally and promptly.
Requirements
Diploma or degree in business, marketing, communications, sports management, events management, community development or a related field.
Preferably relevant experience in membership management, community engagement, customer relationship management, events or marketing.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Good organisational and project management abilities.
Comfortable managing databases, digital platforms and administrative processes.
Experience using membership management, CRM, email marketing or event registration platforms would be an advantage.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to analyse membership data and translate insights into practical initiatives.
Resourceful, service-oriented and able to work independently.
Willing to work occasional evenings and weekends for competitions, events and member activities.
An interest in aquatics, sport or community development would be advantageous.
