Job Description
- Managed a workforce of more than 200 personnel during major shutdown and turnaround execution activities.
- Spearheaded the implementation of Scaffold/Insualtion/Painting (SIP) across shutdowns and Maintenance, Turnaround (MTAC) projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate safety standards.
- Directed all aspects of health and safety management for large-scale shutdown and turnaround projects, from planning and execution through to project close-out.
- Developed corrective action plans, led safety audits, and monitored the effectiveness of actions taken to resolve site safety concerns.
- Collaborated with clients to review and manage high-risk work activities, including confined space entry, blasting and TSA operations, engineered scaffolding, and SIMOPS coordination.
- Oversaw Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) programs, ensuring safe insulation removal, hazardous material management, and inspection activities were conducted in accordance with safety requirements.
- Led risk management and assurance programs to identify, assess, and mitigate critical operational risks.
- Analyzed safety observations and performance trends to develop targeted training plans, coaching initiatives, and ergonomic improvement programs.
- Improved both leading and lagging safety performance indicators across shutdown, maintenance, and project operations.
- Conducted workplace inspections and evaluations to ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and organizational procedures.
- Performed comprehensive safety audits and inspections to identify hazards, implement corrective measures, and promote continuous improvement.
- Upload into AIR Investigated incidents, accidents, injuries, and workplace complaints, ensuring timely reporting, root cause analysis, and regulatory compliance .
- Maintain effective communication with regulatory agencies and local authorities on HSE-related matters.
- Prepare HSEQ performance reports, incident analysis, and safety metrics for management review.
- Promote a strong safety culture by driving employee engagement, awareness campaigns, and proactive safety initiatives.
- Ensure organizational readiness for emergency situations through planning, training, and response preparedness activities.
- Proactively identified, evaluated, and controlled workplace hazards and environmental risks.
- Lead the implementation and continual improvement of the Health, Safety and Environmental Management System (HSEMS), driving performance beyond minimum compliance requirements.
- Coordinate and manage all HSE aspects associated with the relocation and operational move of factory-registered workshop facilities.
- Support the collection, analysis, and reporting of HSE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) at site, business unit, and corporate levels.
- Conduct investigations, audits, compliance reviews, and reporting activities to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
Qualifications and Experience
- WSQ Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health
- SWSHPP / OPICS or Registered WSHO
- Managing Working at Height
- Risk Management Bizsafe Level 2 or Higher
- ISO 45001/14001/90001 Auditor Training
- Incident Investigation Training
- Emergency Response and Crisis Management
Requirement & Qualification: Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health (Level C) and MOM-registered
