Position Overview:

The Cloud Engineer is a hands-on technical role responsible for building, operating, and continuously improving the company's cloud platform infrastructure. Working across four core pillars — Stability, Security, Efficiency, and Cost — this role executes the day-to-day engineering work that keeps the cloud platform reliable, secure, and efficient across regions.

Job Descriptions:

1. Platform Development & Architecture

  • Build, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure components using infrastructure-as-code.
  • Contribute to applied research on cloud technologies and help implement improvements to automation, standardization, and intelligent operations capability.
  • Support platform scalability, stability, and day-to-day efficiency.

2. Environment Management

  • Perform day-to-day operations, monitoring, and maintenance of production, testing, and development environments.
  • Execute environment maintenance procedures; detect and resolve issues promptly.
  • Support R&D and business teams with a stable, reliable infrastructure foundation.

3. Resource & Cost Management

  • Configure and manage compute, storage, network, and database resources.
  • Monitor resource utilization; identify and flag waste for remediation.
  • Support cloud cost optimization initiatives and reporting.

4. Operations Tooling & Systems

  • Build, maintain, and improve tools supporting cloud operations, including monitoring, alerting, logging, automation, and release/deployment pipelines.
  • Contribute to improving system availability, stability, and operational efficiency.

5. Stability & Incident Management

  • Monitor platform health and alerts; detect, analyze, locate, and resolve platform and infrastructure issues.
  • Participate in incident response, remediation, and retrospectives; help drive continuous-improvement follow-ups.
  • Support ongoing improvement in platform reliability and stability.

6. Security & Data Compliance

  • Implement access control, permissions management, data protection, and security monitoring per established policy.
  • Support compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR) through day-to-day operational practices.
  • Identify and escalate security risks affecting the platform or business data.

7. Automation, AI & Efficiency

  • Build automation scripts and tooling to reduce repetitive manual work, leveraging AI where applicable.
  • Improve the speed and accuracy of resource delivery, environment maintenance, incident handling, and daily operations through automation.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Min 4 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure/operations engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure and/or GCP; multi-cloud exposure is a plus.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation) and scripting/automation (Python, Bash).
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tooling (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch, Wiz).
  • Working knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).
  • Exposure to cloud cost optimization / FinOps practices.
  • Solid incident troubleshooting skills, including root-cause analysis.
  • Good communication skills; comfortable working with distributed, multi-region teams.
  • Willingness to participate in a scheduled on-call rotation
  • Fluency in Chinese to liaise with Chinese speaking counterparts
