About the role
We are looking for a senior systems engineer to own the architecture, modelling, integration and performance optimisation of complete LiDAR and optoelectronic sensing systems. You will work across optics, electronics, mechanical design, software and algorithms to ensure all subsystems perform effectively as one product.
Key responsibilities
· Lead system-level modelling, simulation, andanalysis. Develop evaluation models covering optical, perception and signal chains, algorithm performance, computing resources, and overall product performance to support architecture selection, parameter design, requirements allocation, and performance optimisation.
· Participate in the design of core optoelectronic system solutions. Collaborate with optical, mechanical,hardware, algorithm, and software teams to drive integrated opto-mechanical-electronic-software design, data-link design, algorithm adaptation,system integration, and validation.
· Lead system integration, joint debugging, and complex problem resolution. Develop system integration plans and validation strategies, coordinate cross module debugging, identify and analyse system-level issues, and drive improvements in performance, stability, consistency, and robustness under complex operating scenarios.
· Contribute to the development of common product platforms and advanced technology research. Build reusable system capabilities in areas such as optoelectronic system architecture, spatial intelligence, multi-sensor fusion, edge computing, and systematic algorithm integration to support the technological evolution of next-generation intelligent products.
About you
· Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics,Telecommunications, Automation, Precision Instrumentation, Optoelectronic Information Engineering, or a related discipline
· 7 years’ experience in optoelectronic system development and integration.
· Strong sense of responsibility and teamwork, with a proactive and enthusiastic approach to work and proven team leadership and management capabilities.
· Strong fundamentals in optoelectronic systems,signal processing, mathematical modelling, computer vision, machine learning,or systems engineering. Research or development experience involving LiDAR,cameras, sensors, or related technologies is preferred.
· Strong system architecture mindset, with the ability to abstract and define problems within complex, multi-module systems,identify root causes, and drive issues through to resolution.
· Experience in modelling, simulation, or data analysis. Proficiency in one or more of the following is preferred: Python,MATLAB, C/C++, Zemax, CODE V, LightTools, ROS, or other commonly used simulation and algorithm development tools.
· Strong interest in optoelectronic system architecture, spatial intelligence, intelligent hardware, and next-generation perception technologies. A fast learner with an open mindset, strong ownership,and a passion for exploration and innovation.
