We are hiring and the details of the position are:

Job title: Juniper Network Engineer (6-month contract, Juniper routers & switches, East area, up to $6500)

Working location: Paya Lebar

Job Responsibilities:

• On-site Network Hardware Support: Execute hardware changes, including the physical replacement and installation of network devices, plugin of USB media, organize the fiber/copper cables in preparation for planned activities and other equipment as per change requests.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues encountered during change implementation with existing hardware and consoles, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Console Setup: Provide console connection as needed during planned activities.
• Communications: Liaise and coordinate with implementation engineers, internal stake holders, providers, and partners to ensure swift and efficient resolution of faults
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas of improvements to reduce Infrastructure faults and improve monitoring capability.

Requirements:

• Understand and work with network devices and their components, including fibre and copper cables.
• Juniper routers (mx-series) and Juniper switches (ex-series)
• Activities involved will be as follows:

1. Switch replacement: Includes labelling all the current cables in preparation for the replacement, unplug cables, unmount old switch, mount new switch, connect back the cables
2. Routing Engine & Control Board Replacement
3. MPC (Line Card) Replacement: Includes labelling all the currently connected cables in preparation for the replacement, remove old MPC, slot new MPC, connect back cables
