Project Director

Responsibilities

• Apply technical expertise to develop and implement safe execution methodologies during tender processes
• Ensure tenders meet overhead and budgetary targets and comply with contractual requirements
• Collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and value chain partners to align project objectives
• Manage commercial aspects to achieve financial targets throughout the project lifecycle
• Lead and oversee project teams to deliver milestones on time within allocated resources and contractual terms
• Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to drive project development from start to completion
• Develop detailed project implementation programmes and strategic plans for execution
• Prepare project briefs, requirements, and technical specifications for procurement of consultancy and construction contracts
• Identify and resolve project interface issues by working with all interfacing parties to implement mitigation measures
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and meet specified quality standards
• Independently lead project teams and manage team dynamics by assigning appropriate tasks to members

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in construction
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles
• Familiarity with local authority regulations and submission processes

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Professional certification (e.g., PMP, PE, or equivalent) is an added advantage
• Experience managing large-scale construction projects
