Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist (Contract, DDRL)
About this job
Are you an experienced clinical genetics professional looking to make a meaningful impact? Join our growing team at DDRL, where we've been at the forefront of clinical genetic testing for over 30 years.
Our comprehensive test menu spans thalassaemia screening, Fragile X, SMA, aneuploidy testing, Cardiogenetic NGS panels, and whole exome sequencing — and we're actively expanding our genomic testing capabilities to meet the clinical needs of tomorrow.
About the Role
As a Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will play a central role in supporting the clinical reporting of our genetic tests, from analysing results and interpreting findings to drafting clear, accurate clinical reports. You will also take ownership of implementing and managing workflows, as well as contributing to assay design and development.
This role calls for someone who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. You will work closely with clinical, bioinformatics, and laboratory teams, and will need to navigate competing priorities with professionalism and precision. At DDRL, we hold ourselves to high standards — our patients and clinicians depend on us to deliver quality results, on time.
