Senior Site Engineer

About the role

T.A.G. Construction Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position within our Civil/Structural Engineering division, based in Kampong Ubi, Central Region. As Senior Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for liaising between design teams, contractors, and management, whilst maintaining compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. This position is integral to the successful execution of our construction projects and the reputation of T.A.G. Construction Pte Ltd.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities and coordinate all on-site operations to ensure projects progress according to schedule and specifications

• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with design drawings, specifications, and industry standards

• Manage and supervise site personnel, including sub-contractors and labourers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive site documentation, including daily reports, inspection records, and progress updates

• Liaise with project managers, architects, and structural engineers to resolve design queries and site-related issues

• Monitor project timelines and identify potential delays, implementing corrective measures as necessary

• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site

• Manage site resources, including materials, equipment, and budget allocation

• Conduct site safety briefings and toolbox talks to promote a culture of safety amongst site personnel

• Prepare and submit variation orders, claims, and other administrative documentation as required

• Coordinate with utility providers and relevant authorities to facilitate smooth project execution

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline

• Minimum 3 years of post-graduation site engineering experience in construction projects

• Proven experience in managing large-scale commercial, infrastructure, or residential construction projects

• Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles, construction methodologies, and relevant building codes

• Proficiency in site management software and MS Office applications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams

• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure

• Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental management on construction sites

• Professional certification or registration with relevant engineering bodies (desirable)

• Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) or similar digital construction tools (preferred)

• Knowledge of local Singapore building regulations and construction standards
