Supplier Quality Engineer (Automotive / Up to $7.5k / West)

Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm

Location: Bulim Lane

Salary: $5,500– $7,500

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct quality system assessment during the process of new supplier onboarding, and managing related risks.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to conduct capability assessments and strategic planning for supplier pools, ensuring alignment with the company's business demands and quality requirements.
• Lead the new part qualification process (e.g., PPAP), manage project risks, and ensure its timely completion.
• Assist in quality coaching for underperforming suppliers, and provide technical quality support.
• Summarize lessons learned from supplier incidents, and conduct training to enhance overall supplier performance and Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) competency.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience, including at least 1 year in the automotive industry; Background in structural component process engineering or as a SQE is required.
