Senior Engineer, Mechanical

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Engineer, Mechanical (Drafting Focus) to produce accurate, high-quality 2D and 3D technical drawings that clearly reflect engineering intent. This role is dedicated to drafting, documentation, and drawing management to support manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly activities.

Main Responsibilities

• Create and maintain accurate 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.

• Translate engineering concepts, sketches, and design inputs into complete, manufacturable drawings.

• Apply proper dimensioning, GD&T, materials, surface finishes, and technical notes in accordance with ASME/ISO standards.

• Revise and update drawings based on design changes, engineering feedback, and project requirements.

• Ensure all drawings comply with company drafting standards, engineering codes, and documentation procedures.

• Manage drawing files, revisions, and version control using PDM/PLM systems.

• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to resolve drawing-related issues and support manufacturability.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent relevant technical experience).

• 5+ years of expertise in designing small components, demonstrating strong attention to detail and engineering excellence

• Strong proficiency in CAD software with solid knowledge of GD&T, drafting standards (ASME Y14.5), and manufacturing processes.

• Ability to interpret engineering requirements and convert them into complete drawings.

• Knowledge of machining, sheet metal, welding, and fabrication drawings.

• Familiarity with optoelectronic components.
